Saturday May 4, 2024
3:00-5:00 pm

Cost: Suggested fee is between $20 and $60. All money collected for this workshop will be donated to WEIRA, a non-profit organization supporting women experienced Domestic Violence.
Who invited?
This workshop is for therapists and counselors who wish to enrich their professional toolbox. All yarn arts skill levels are welcome, from trying it for the first time to the advanced.
What a group meeting looks like
Each meeting includes time for greeting each other, learning and practicing new skills, and discussing how that could be helpful in therapy. Pati Palmer will teach crochet techniques, show how she has used yarn in sessions, and share research on using yarn arts in therapy. We provide tea, coffee, and light snacks for participants.
Benefits
After the workshop you will be able to:
  • engage clients who prefer activities to talking
  • teach your clients creative and productive coping skills
Another benefit is meeting like-minded colleagues for networking!
Materials
All materials, including yarn and crochet hooks are provided. You are welcome to bring your own if you’d like to.
