Why Lego?
Lego is one of the favorite toys for many kids, and it easily brings children together. Children build up confidence, practice teamwork, communication, joint problem-solving, and friendship skills while engaging in fun Lego activities.
Benefits
Kids improve cooperation and friendship skills, and are more prepared for social situations at school.
What a group meeting looks like
Each meeting includes time for greeting each other, teamwork, and having fun playing with what was built. We will focus on chosen social skills that are practiced during group activities.
How parents involved
We will talk with parents first, to see if this group is the best way to support your child. We will inform parents what skills we were learning during each meeting. Parents are encouraged to support the child in practicing those skills between sessions.
Group Facilitators
Pati Palmer, AMFT, APCC.
Pati is a dedicated professional with a warm and kind personality, who easily engages children in activities helping them develop and grow. Pati is a Member of the Association for Play Therapy.

Carol Mellberg, LMFT – 20+ years of experience as a therapist and art therapist. Carol creates and delivers social-emotional arts programs that are helping our kids and communities reduce anxieties, build resilience, and stay connected to each other and their joy.
